Working closely with the clients, we were able to design a space tailored their needs. Remodeling a Spanish Mediterranean house can be challenging in that updates can sometimes feel out of place. This renovation kept the warmth alive through thoughtful design principles. Light, layout, and configuration were all considered. While we combined the family room and kitchen to form one open space, we kept some separation from the dining room to keep some structure in their home’s west wing. The paint colors and lighting color temperature were selected to complement the warm beige of the Italian kitchen cabinets. And why not have a double island, especially if you love to entertain!
